The majority of my work over the last 15 years has consisted mostly of paintings, wall-pieces, and works on paper. Formally, most of what I make comes out of the history and traditions of painting, so even my more sculptural pieces, ceramics and photography have painterly qualities.
Up until very recently most of my work has consisted a great deal of found objects, collage and assemblage. Even though the work I am doing currently is all painted, the methodology of painting elements on the canvas and violating them and then painting over in successive layers is very similar to my former assemblage and collage techniques.
