Job Description: I design and produce printed materials and web pages for University Advancement, which encompasses the Office of Development, the Office of Public Affairs, and the Alumni Association. Design projects include the Annual Report of Private Giving; the quarterly Cal State East Bay Magazine; a bi• monthly staff and faculty newspaper; commencement and convocation programs; and marketing materials such as university logos, brochures, invitations, signage, and newsletters for the university and alumni association. I perform all stages of the printing process from print buying to final press• check. I also design and produce the web pages for the university’s online giving site, university news and events, the alumni association web site, and the TheView online magazine. Additionally, I produce secure online forms as well as database• driven and content• managed sites.

Job Description: At AMCAL, Inc., a gift publishing company, I supervised a staff of seven production artists and up to six freelancers in the production department. I was responsible for creating an efficient workflow between the Art Director and the final printing of products, which included wall and desk calendars, note cards, journals, packaging, and the production of a 150• page product catalog. I provided software training for all art department employees and implemented a job ticketing system using FileMaker Pro to keep track of over 500 print jobs each year. I also supervised press• checks in the U.S. and Singapore.
